About the Role

We are looking for a QA Automation Intern to help test web and mobile applications across several projects. Your main project will be a GPS tracking platform we build and maintain for a client. It has three parts: an iOS and Android app where customers follow their vehicles and devices live, an admin and ERP web system used to run the business, and the backend that connects them to real GPS trackers. You will also have opportunities to work on other products, including Inverso, a Bulgarian platform for invoicing, payments, and financial management used by over 3,000 businesses.

This role is a good fit for someone at the beginning of their career who is interested in software quality and wants practical experience in both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with our development team, learn how applications are built and released, and help make them reliable and easy to use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test the customer mobile app on real Android and iOS devices: live map tracking, trip history, geofences, push notifications, and device sharing.
  • Test the admin web application, including orders, clients, devices, subscriptions, and reports.
  • Help create, maintain, and run automated tests using Playwright and C#.
  • Check that new features work as expected and that existing functionality still works after changes, across web, mobile, and API.
  • Help integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Reproduce bugs, document clear steps to reproduce them, and verify fixes.
  • Work with developers to understand requirements and identify edge cases, such as a tracker going offline, poor GPS signal, or a user with several vehicles.
  • Test end-to-end user journeys, from buying and activating a device to renewing a subscription and receiving alerts.
  • Contribute to test cases and help improve the team's testing process.

What We Are Looking For

  • An interest in software testing and a desire to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of C# and programming concepts.
  • An interest in test automation and tools such as Playwright.
  • A careful, curious approach and attention to detail.
  • The ability to describe problems clearly and follow them through to resolution.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Good command of English and Bulgarian. Our apps are used mainly in Bulgarian, so you will often check translations and wording.

You do not need professional QA experience to apply. Personal projects, coursework, or self-directed learning are welcome.

It Would Be a Plus If You:

  • Have written automated tests or used Playwright.
  • Understand the basics of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Have tested mobile applications on Android or iOS, ideally on physical devices.
  • Have used Git or a bug-tracking tool.
  • Are familiar with REST APIs and tools such as Postman.
  • Have an interest in GPS, IoT, or location-based applications.
  • Have a driving licence, which is useful for field-testing trackers in real vehicles.

What We Offer

  • A supportive team and a friendly working environment.
  • Hands-on work with a real product that has real hardware, real users, and live data.
  • Practical experience across web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Opportunities to learn test automation, CI/CD, and software development practices.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • An office in a central location in Plovdiv and flexible working hours.
